Custom Powder Supplement Manufacturing

Turn a botanical, nutrient or mushroom formula into a finished powder supplement. Botanovance works from your serving size, mixing method and packaging brief, then coordinates ingredient sourcing, sample evaluation and production through its partner manufacturing network, including sachet filling.
We support supplement brands, distributors and functional food companies that need a powder or drink-mix product made to specification. MOQ, testing scope and lead time are confirmed in writing before production.

Powder Supplement Types We Develop

Start with an existing formula or a product concept. We check ingredient availability, target composition and powder behavior before confirming a production route.

Project type Typical products What we review
Botanical powder blends Herbal drink mixes, standardized extract blends Extract identity, active-content targets, carriers, bitterness and color
Nutrient powder blends Vitamin, mineral and amino acid drink mixes Ingredient forms, amount per serving, compatibility and distribution of low-dose nutrients
Mushroom powder supplements Mushroom drink mixes and coffee alternatives Extract or whole-powder choice, source data, and the test method behind any polysaccharide or beta-glucan claim
Fruit and vegetable blends Greens and superfood powders Raw material, carrier composition, taste and intended mixing conditions
One formula can combine ingredients across these groups. Ingredients can come from our standardized botanical extracts, mushroom extracts, fruit and vegetable powders and functional ingredients, or from specifications you supply.

Define the Powder Before Choosing the Pack

Serving weight alone does not tell you how a powder will blend, fill or mix. Agree these requirements early so every sample is judged against the same specification.

Requirement What to specify
Composition Ingredients and amount per serving, active-content targets, permitted carriers and flow aids
Serving and fill weight Grams per serving, servings per pack and acceptable fill variation
Powder handling Particle size, bulk density and flow requirements where relevant
Mixing performance Liquid type, volume, temperature, mixing method and acceptable sediment
Sensory profile Flavor direction, sweetness, color, odor and mouthfeel
Packaging and storage Pack format, moisture protection, storage conditions and shelf-life target
For drink mixes, dispersible does not mean fully soluble. Test the complete blend at the real serving concentration before agreeing a mixability claim. Where flow or dissolution is a problem, granulated or water-soluble ingredient forms may help.

Powder Blending and Production Review

Powder supplement manufacturing links ingredient preparation, blending, filling and packing. Our review focuses on the points most likely to change the finished serving.

Blend Uniformity and Fill Weight

Ingredients with different particle sizes, densities or very low inclusion levels can separate during blending and transfer. We review blending sequence, premixing of low-dose ingredients, transfer steps and filling behavior with the production team. How uniformity and fill weight will be tested is agreed for each formula.

Taste, Dispersibility and Caking

Botanical bitterness, grit, sediment and moisture-driven clumping are common reasons a powder product fails with consumers. Hygroscopic ingredients may need humidity control, a flow aid or tighter packaging. We coordinate sample assessment of taste, odor and dispersion, and agree test conditions before evaluation starts. For difficult materials, see our particle engineering and granulation capability.

From Sample to Commercial Batch

  • Review the brief: confirm composition, serving size, target market and packaging.
  • Evaluate samples: check the agreed sensory, mixing and handling criteria.
  • Approve specifications: fix the formula, acceptance criteria, pack details and documents.
  • Confirm production: run a trial batch where available, then agree scheduling, testing and delivery.

Sachet Packaging and Other Powder Formats

Our manufacturing partner network includes an OEM/ODM facility with sachet production lines. Powder suitability, fill weight, sachet size and film structure are confirmed during project review.
Format Best suited to Points to check
Single-serve sachet Pre-portioned drink mixes, travel and sample packs Fill accuracy, seal integrity, moisture barrier
Stick pack Slim single servings for retail boxes Powder flow in narrow fills, pack dimensions
Stand-up pouch Multi-serving retail packs Reclosure, scoop, moisture after opening
Tub or jar Larger servings and repeat use Headspace, liner or seal, scoop size
Multi-serving packs are opened repeatedly, so moisture protection and portion measuring matter more than in sachets. List every format you need in your brief so filling and packing capacity can be checked.

Quality Testing and Documentation

The finished-powder specification and testing plan are agreed before production. Scope depends on the formula and the destination market.
Check What it covers
Identity Confirms each key ingredient is what the specification says
Active or nutrient content Measures label-relevant compounds or nutrients by an agreed method
Microbiology Total plate count, yeast and mold, and pathogens as specified
Contaminants Heavy metals, and pesticide residues where relevant to the raw material
Moisture Moisture or water activity linked to caking and shelf-life risk
Uniformity and fill weight Consistency of the blend and of each pack
Available documents include specifications, batch COAs, method information, allergen statements and storage guidance. Ingredient documents and finished-product release records serve different purposes, so confirm which will ship with your order. See analytical testing and quality control.
Certificates are checked against the specific production site, activity and product, and are not assumed for every project. Request current records through our certifications page. Label claims and market compliance stay with the brand owner unless agreed otherwise; our regulatory and documentation support team can help prepare files.

MOQ, Pricing and Lead Time

MOQ and lead time are quoted after we review the formula, batch size and packaging format. Share your launch quantity and expected repeat volume so the proposed order size fits your supply plan.
The main cost and timing factors are:
  • Ingredient grades, inclusion levels and sourcing availability
  • Flavor work, sample rounds and any trial production
  • Testing scope and required documents
  • Fill weight, packaging materials, artwork and packing quantity
  • Production capacity and shipping arrangements
Ask when the quoted lead time starts and whether it includes development, packaging procurement, testing and transit.

Powder Supplement Manufacturing FAQs

Yes. We review an existing formula for ingredient availability, powder handling and packaging fit. Send the composition, ingredient specifications and target serving weight. Any proposed change is agreed with you before the production formula is approved.

MOQ depends on the formula, batch size, pack format and packaging materials. We quote it after reviewing your brief, so include your launch quantity and expected repeat volume.

Sample availability and scope are confirmed for each project. For drink mixes, send your intended mixing instructions and sensory criteria so the assessment matches real use.

Sachet production is available through our partner network. Stick packs, stand-up pouches and tubs are checked against the powder and order size for each project, so list them in your brief.

Yes. Formula options, customization, packaging and documents are confirmed per project. See private label supplements if you do not yet have a formula.

Compare serving size, taste exposure, preparation and packaging. Powders suit larger servings but need attention to taste and mixing. Capsules avoid mixing but the dose must fit a practical capsule size and count.

Include the material specification and destination market in your brief. Moisture protection and filling compatibility need checking first. Any recyclability claim must be supported for the actual pack structure and market.
